Your new system's warranty, in dates

A two-minute conversation settles more than a form does. Call and describe the problem, and we will tell you honestly whether it is ours to fix. We work across Temecula and its neighbours.

What the dates mean

  • Registration

Many manufacturers give a longer parts warranty — commonly 10 years instead of 5 — if you register the system online, often within 60 days of installation. Miss it and you may get the shorter term.

  • First service

A tune-up before the first full summer catches installation issues early, and gives you a service record.

  • Labor coverage

Parts warranties usually don't pay for the labor to fit the part. Check what your installer's labor warranty covers and for how long.

  • Parts coverage

The manufacturer's parts term runs from installation (or registration). Keep the model and serial numbers somewhere you can find them.

Habits that protect coverage

  • Yearly service

Some warranties ask for proof of regular maintenance. Keep every invoice.

  • Licensed work

Repairs by unlicensed people can put coverage at risk.

  • One folder

Install invoice, registration confirmation, model and serial numbers, service records.
